Czech Republic: Industrial production shrinks in October
Latest reading: Industrial production was down 0.1% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in October, following a 1.3% rise in the prior month.
Relative to the prior month’s data, the reading for manufacturing worsened in October (-0.6% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis vs +2.6% in September). In contrast, readings picked up for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (+5.5% vs -10.1% in September) and mining and quarrying (+1.3% vs -2.5% in September).
On a working day adjusted year-on-year basis, industrial production was up 1.0% in October, following 0.8% growth in the previous month.
