Czech Republic: Inflation eases in November from the prior month
Latest reading: Consumer prices rose 2.1% in annual terms in November, following a 2.5% rise in the previous month. November’s reading was the weakest since April.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, there were milder price pressures for housing and utilities (+1.7% in annual terms vs +1.9% in October), food and non-alcoholic beverages (+4.0% vs +4.3% in October) and recreation and culture (+3.7% vs +4.2% in October). In contrast, price pressures were higher for transportation in November (+0.4% vs +0.2% in October).
Finally, consumer prices were down 0.32% in November in month-on-month terms, following a 0.52% increase in the previous month.
