Denmark: Manufacturing production accelerates in January
Latest reading: Manufacturing production was up 3.8% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in January, following a 1.2% increase in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s data, readings in January improved for non-durable consumer goods (+4.0% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis vs +1.9% in December) and investment goods (+3.0% vs -2.9% in December). In contrast, the reading for intermediate goods softened in January (+1.8% vs +7.2% in December).
In seasonally adjusted year-on-year terms, manufacturing production was up 14.8% in January, following a 1.1% rise in the previous month.
