Estonia: Inflation ebbs in October from the prior month
Latest reading: Harmonized consumer prices rose 4.5% on a year-on-year basis in October, following a 5.3% increase in the prior month.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, there were milder price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages (+6.4% in annual terms vs +7.8% in September), transportation (+7.8% vs +8.5% in September), housing and utilities (+2.5% vs +2.6% in September), recreation (+5.7% vs +6.5% in September) and restaurants and hotels (+4.1% vs +5.2% in September).
Meanwhile, consumer prices rose 4.6% in annual terms in October, following a 5.2% rise in the previous month.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.09% in October in month-on-month terms, following a 1.12% fall in the prior month.
