France: Economic sentiment rises in November
Latest reading: Economic sentiment rose to 95.4 in November, following October’s 94.6. November’s reading was the highest since April 2025. The reading marked a fifth consecutive rise, yet the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
In November, sentiment brightened in the services sector (-2.9 vs -4.4 in October) and the retail sector (-12.5 vs -15.9 in October). In contrast, sentiment darkened in the industrial sector (-8.0 vs -6.4 in October), the construction sector (-16.3 vs -15.3 in October) and among consumers (-15.8 vs -15.5 in October).
