France: Harmonized inflation rises in June
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation came in at 0.9% in June, up from May’s 0.6% but well below the Euro area average. The rebound in price pressures was largely driven by rising price pressures for food and transport.
The trend pointed down mildly, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 1.4% in June (May: 1.6%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation rose to 1.0% in June from May’s 0.7%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.43% in June over the previous month, contrasting May’s 0.18% drop.
