Hong Kong: Inflation picks up in February from January
Latest reading: Consumer prices increased 1.7% in annual terms in February, following a 1.2% rise in the previous month. February’s reading was the strongest since May 2025. Food, transport and recreation price pressures rose, likely linked to extra demand from Lunar New Year festivities.
Finally, consumer prices rose 0.45% in February on a month-on-month basis, following a 0.18% rise in the previous month.
