Latest reading: Economic sentiment went down to 95.3 in November, following October’s 96.7. The index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
In November, sentiment darkened in the industrial sector (-11.3 vs -8.9 in October) and among consumers (-24.4 vs -23.2 in October). However, sentiment improved in the construction sector (-24.4 vs -24.5 in October), the services sector (-8.9 vs -11.3 in October) and the retail sector (-15.9 vs -16.6 in October).
