Hungary: Industrial production shrinks more quickly in November
Latest reading: Industrial production fell 5.5% in annual terms in November, following a 2.7% decline in the prior month. November’s reading was the weakest since February 2025.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, readings in November softened for manufacturing (-5.6% on a year-on-year basis vs -3.2% in October), mining and quarrying (-11.9% vs +1.9% in October) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (-2.1% vs +7.0% in October).
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial production fell 1.9% in November, following a 0.3% increase in the prior month.
