Lithuania: Industrial production loses momentum in February
Latest reading: Industrial production increased 1.6% on a year-on-year basis in February, following 2.0% growth in the previous month.
Relative to the previous month’s data, the reading for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning softened in February (+8.3% on a year-on-year basis vs +26.1% in January). In contrast, readings picked up for manufacturing (+1.3% vs +0.4% in January) and mining and quarrying (-35.2% vs -42.5% in January).
In seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms, industrial production rose 0.9% in February, following 4.8% growth in the prior month.
