Netherlands: Industrial production stagnates in January
Latest reading: Industrial production—excluding construction—flatlined on a seasonally and calendar-adjusted month-on-month basis in January, following 0.5% growth in the prior month.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, the reading for mining and quarrying softened in January (-14.2% in seasonally and calendar-adjusted month-on-month terms vs +7.5% in December). In contrast, readings picked up for manufacturing (+0.4% vs +0.3% in December).
In seasonally and calendar-adjusted year-on-year terms, industrial production—excluding construction—increased 2.7% in January, following a 3.6% increase in the prior month.
