Philippines: Merchandise trade deficit increases in September
Latest reading: In September, the trade balance was USD -4.4 billion, following a USD -4.0 billion reading in the prior month. Over the last 12 months, the trade balance summed to USD -52.1 billion.
Exports were up 15.9% in annual terms in September, coming on the back of a 5.5% increase in the prior month. Imports were up 2.1% in year-on-year terms in September, following a 0.3% decline in the prior month.
