Poland: Inflation ebbs in November from October
Latest reading: Consumer prices increased 2.5% on a year-on-year basis in November, following a 2.8% rise in the previous month. November’s reading was the weakest since April 2024 and hit the midpoint of the Central Bank’s 1.5–3.5% target range.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, there were milder price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages (+2.8% on a year-on-year basis vs +3.4% in October) and fuels for personal transport (-1.9% vs -1.8% in October). In contrast, price pressures were higher for electricity, gas and other fuels in November (+2.7% vs +2.6% in October).
Finally, consumer prices increased 0.10% in November in month-on-month terms, stable from the previous month’s reading.
