Qatar: Inflation picks up in November from the prior month
Latest reading: Consumer prices increased 1.4% in annual terms in November, following a 1.1% rise in the previous month. November’s reading was the strongest since February 2024.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, there were higher price pressures for clothing (+3.0% in annual terms vs +1.7% in October) and recreation and culture (+3.3% vs +0.4% in October). In contrast, there were reduced price pressures for food (-1.7% vs -0.7% in October), housing (+0.5% vs +0.7% in October) and transport (-1.8% vs -0.5% in October).
Lastly, consumer prices rose 0.35% in November in month-on-month terms, following a 0.90% increase in the prior month.
