Qatar: Inflation stabilizes in October from September
Latest reading: Consumer prices increased 1.1% in annual terms in October, unchanged from the previous month’s reading.
Relative to the prior month’s data, there were higher price pressures for housing (+0.7% on a year-on-year basis vs -0.2% in September) and transport (-0.5% vs -1.1% in September). In contrast, there were milder price pressures for food (-0.7% vs +1.4% in September), clothing (+1.7% vs +2.9% in September) and recreation and culture (+0.4% vs +1.5% in September).
Lastly, consumer prices increased 0.90% in October in month-on-month terms, stable from the previous month’s reading.
