Romania: Industrial production loses momentum in October
Latest reading: Industrial production rose 0.4% on a working day and seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in October, following 1.2% growth in the previous month.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, the reading for manufacturing worsened in October (-0.5% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms vs +2.2% in September). In contrast, readings picked up for mining and quarrying (+0.7% vs -2.0% in September) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (+5.5% vs -3.1% in September).
On a working day and seasonally adjusted year-on-year basis, industrial production was up 0.2% in October, stable from the prior month’s reading.
