Serbia: Economic sentiment worsens in October
Latest reading: Economic sentiment declined to 93.0 in October, following September’s 95.2. Consequently, the index fell further below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
In October, sentiment darkened in the industrial sector (-1.9 vs +0.3 in September), the services sector (-0.4 vs -0.1 in September), the retail sector (+8.1 vs +8.5 in September) and among consumers (-4.2 vs -3.5 in September). On the flipside, sentiment improved in the construction sector (-8.0 vs -8.4 in September).
