Serbia: Industrial production contracts in October
Latest reading: Industrial production declined 2.3% in annual terms in October, following a 2.5% increase in the prior month. October’s reading was the weakest since March 2024.
Relative to the previous month’s data, readings worsened in October for manufacturing (-0.7% in annual terms vs +2.4% in September) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (-14.6% vs +4.6% in September). In contrast, the reading for mining and quarrying improved (+5.9% vs +0.5% in September)
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial production declined 2.1% in October, following a 1.0% rise in the prior month.
