Slovakia: Economic sentiment declines in March
Latest reading: Economic sentiment went down to 92.1 in March, following February’s 92.9. The latest reading was below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
In March, sentiment worsened in the services sector (-4.3 vs +0.2 in February), the retail sector (-4.6 vs +2.2 in February) and among consumers (-25.4 vs -23.4 in February). In contrast, sentiment turned more upbeat in the industrial sector (+0.2 vs -3.7 in February) and the construction sector (-4.0 vs -4.4 in February).
