Slovakia: Inflation is stable in November from October
Latest reading: Harmonized consumer prices were up 3.9% in annual terms in November, stable from the prior month’s reading.
Relative to the prior month’s data, there were higher price pressures for transportation (+4.4% in annual terms vs +3.4% in October), housing and utilities (+3.8% vs +2.9% in October) and restaurants and hotels (+9.0% vs +8.9% in October). In contrast, price pressures reduced for food and non-alcoholic beverages in November (+0.9% vs +1.4% in October). Finally, the variation in recreation prices was the same as in the prior month (+5.4% in November and October).
Meanwhile, consumer prices rose 3.7% in November, unchanged from the prior month’s reading.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.28% in November on a month-on-month basis, following a 0.10% increase in the previous month.
