Slovenia: Economic sentiment hits near-four-year high in December
Latest reading: Economic sentiment increased to 102.1 in December, following November’s 100.4. December’s reading was the highest since April 2022. Consequently, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
In December, sentiment brightened in the industrial sector (-2.4 vs -4.3 in November), the services sector (+18.2 vs +15.1 in November) and the retail sector (+19.5 vs +13.0 in November). On the flipside, sentiment worsened in the construction sector (+12.8 vs +15.1 in November) and among consumers (-24.5 vs -24.2 in November).
