Slovenia: Economic sentiment increases in January
Latest reading: Economic sentiment rose to 102.5 in January, following December’s 102.3. The latest reading was above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy and it was the highest since February 2022.
In January, sentiment brightened in among consumers (-20.7 vs -24.3 in December). However, sentiment worsened in the industrial sector (-2.6 vs -2.4 in December), the construction sector (+8.9 vs +12.6 in December), the services sector (+15.7 vs +18.2 in December) and the retail sector (+14.0 vs +20.2 in December).
