Slovenia: Industrial production shrinks more quickly in December
Latest reading: Industrial production fell 4.1% in annual terms in December, following a 1.8% drop in the previous month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, readings in December worsened for manufacturing (-4.5% on a year-on-year basis vs -1.5% in November) and mining and quarrying (+2.5% vs +9.2% in November). In contrast, the reading for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply improved in December (-1.4% vs -6.9% in November).
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial production was down 1.5% in December, following a 0.4% decline in the prior month.
