Slovenia: Inflation rises to a 19-month high in October
Latest reading: Harmonized consumer prices rose 3.1% on a year-on-year basis in October, following a 2.7% increase in the previous month and marking a 19-month high.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, there were higher price pressures for transportation (+0.2% on a year-on-year basis vs -1.1% in September) and housing and utilities (+4.3% vs +0.3% in September). In contrast, there were reduced price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages (+6.7% vs +7.2% in September), recreation (+1.9% vs +2.2% in September) and restaurants and hotels (+5.1% vs +5.6% in September).
Meanwhile, consumer prices were up 3.1% in October, following a 2.6% rise in the prior month.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.10% in October on a month-on-month basis, following a flat reading in the prior month.
