Spain: Industrial production accelerates in October
Latest reading: Industrial production increased 0.7% in working day and seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in October, following a 0.3% rise in the previous month.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, readings in October improved for capital goods (-0.2% in working day and seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms vs -1.4% in September) and energy (+0.5% vs +0.1% in September). In contrast, readings worsened for consumer goods (-0.2% vs +0.6% in September) and intermediate goods (+0.1% vs +1.7% in September).
In working day and seasonally adjusted year-on-year terms, industrial production increased 1.2% in October, following a 1.5% rise in the previous month.
