Sweden: Economic sentiment rises in November
Latest reading: Economic sentiment increased to 99.4 in November, following October’s 98.7. November’s reading was the highest since August 2022. Still, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
In November, sentiment improved in the industrial sector (-2.6 vs -3.5 in October), the construction sector (-1.6 vs -11.4 in October), the services sector (+21.8 vs +20.4 in October) and among consumers (-3.3 vs -3.6 in October). On the flipside, sentiment darkened in the retail sector (+24.4 vs +28.6 in October).
