Sweden: Industrial production returns to growth in February
Latest reading: Industrial production—excluding energy—rose 5.9% on a calendar- and seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in February, following a 9.7% fall in the prior month.
Relative to the prior month’s data, the reading for manufacturing improved in February (+5.2% in calendar- and seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms vs -9.7% in January). In contrast, the reading for mining worsened in February (+0.7% vs +2.1% in January).
In working-day adjusted year-on-year terms, industrial production was up 7.7% in February, following a 0.5% increase in the previous month.
