Thailand: Manufacturing production shrinks in November
Latest reading: Manufacturing production declined 4.2% in annual terms in November, following a flat reading in the previous month.
Relative to the previous month’s data, readings in November softened for food products (-1.6% in annual terms vs +1.0% in October), automotive vehicles (+1.9% vs +8.6% in October), computer and electronic products (+3.6% vs +13.7% in October) and refined petroleum products (-13.5% vs -2.4% in October). In contrast, the reading for chemical products improved in November (-1.4% vs -2.8% in October).
In seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms, manufacturing output declined 3.5% in November, following a 0.4% drop in the prior month.
