Thailand: Manufacturing production falls in October
Latest reading: Manufacturing production fell 0.1% on a year-on-year basis in October, following a 1.2% increase in the prior month.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, readings in October worsened for chemical products (-3.0% in annual terms vs +1.6% in September) and refined petroleum products (-2.4% vs +4.6% in September). In contrast, readings picked up for food products (+0.8% vs -2.2% in September), automotive vehicles (+8.6% vs +6.0% in September) and computer and electronic products (+12.2% vs +5.6% in September).
In seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms, manufacturing output fell 0.2% in October, following a 3.5% increase in the previous month.
