Ukraine: Inflation rises in February from January
Latest reading: Consumer prices increased 7.6% in annual terms in February, following a 7.4% rise in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s data, there were higher price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages (+9.9% in annual terms vs +9.7% in January), housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (+2.3% vs +2.2% in January) and transportation (+6.8% vs +5.9% in January).
Meanwhile, core consumer prices were up 7.0% in annual terms in February, unchanged from the previous month’s reading.
Lastly, consumer prices increased 1.00% in February in month-on-month terms, following a 0.70% rise in the previous month.
