Ukraine: Inflation decelerates in November from October
Latest reading: Consumer prices rose 9.3% on a year-on-year basis in November, following a 10.9% increase in the prior month. November’s reading was the weakest since September 2024.
Relative to the previous month’s data, there were reduced price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages (+12.1% on a year-on-year basis vs +15.6% in October) and housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (+2.3% vs +2.4% in October). In contrast, price pressures were higher for transportation in November (+5.9% vs +5.4% in October).
Meanwhile, core consumer prices rose 9.3% in annual terms in November, following a 10.2% rise in the previous month.
Lastly, consumer prices increased 0.40% in November on a month-on-month basis, following a 0.90% increase in the prior month.
