Uruguay: Manufacturing production shrinks more quickly in October
Latest reading: Manufacturing production was down 5.3% on a year-on-year basis in October, following a 5.2% decline in the previous month.
Relative to the previous month’s data, readings in October softened for food (-3.2% in annual terms vs -0.4% in September), paper (-16.8% vs -6.2% in September) and beverages (+9.3% vs +16.6% in September). In contrast, the reading for chemical substances and products improved in October (+4.0% vs -4.0% in September).
