Latest reading: Retail sales increased 0.2% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in June, following a 0.9% increase in the prior month. Relative to the prior month's data, readings in June softened for In contrast, readings improved for food, beverages, and tobacco (+1.1% vs +0.1% in May), household equipment (+1.2% vs -1.2% in May) and automotive fuel (-0.6% vs -1.2% in May). On a calendar-adjusted year-on-year basis, retail sales were up 1.5% in June, following a 3.4% rise in the prior month.
