Industrial production falls in February
Latest reading: Industrial production was down 2.0% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in February, following 4.3% growth in the prior month. February's reading was the weakest since January 2024. Relative to the prior month's data, readings in February softened for manufacturing (-2.1% on a month-on-month basis vs +4.3% in January) and mining (-1.5% vs 0.0% in January). On a year-on-year basis, industrial production rose 0.4% in February, following a 0.7% rise in the previous month.
