Inflation ebbs in June from May
Latest reading: Consumer prices rose 10.3% on a year-on-year basis in June, following a 10.4% rise in the previous month. June’s reading was the lowest since March 2025. Relative to the prior month's figures, price pressures eased for food and non-alcoholic beverages (+10.3% vs +10.6% in May), transportation (+11.9% vs +12.8% in May), housing and utilities (+5.1% vs +5.6% in May), health (+13.7% vs +13.8% in May) and restaurants and hotels (+11.0% vs +11.5% in May). Lastly, consumer prices rose 0.8% in June in month-on-month terms, following a 0.7% increase in the previous month.
