Industrial production loses momentum in May
Latest reading: Industrial production increased 8.8% on a year-on-year basis in May, following 9.9% growth in the previous month. Relative to the previous month's data, readings in May worsened for manufacturing (+9.0% in annual terms vs +10.0% in April), electricity (+8.5% vs +10.9% in April) and mining and quarrying (+6.0% vs +7.6% in April). In contrast, the reading for water supply improved in May (+8.7% vs +7.0% in April).
