Argentina: Manufacturing production rebounds in June
Latest reading: Manufacturing production rose 2.0% on a year-on-year basis in June, following a 5.6% drop in the previous month.
Ten of the 16 manufacturing sectors posted annual increases in June. Looking at key sectors, relative to the previous month’s data, readings in June improved for machinery and equipment (-16.8% on a year-on-year basis vs -23.3% in May), basic metals (+11.8% vs -3.7% in May), chemical products (+11.0% vs -3.1% in May), automotive vehicles (-3.5% vs -16.1% in May) and food and beverages (+6.2% vs -3.0% in May).
