Austria: Industrial production recovers in June
Latest reading: Industrial production rose 0.5% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in June, following a 0.3% fall in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, readings in June improved for durable consumer goods (+4.6% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis vs -1.3% in May), capital goods (+1.2% vs -1.1% in May) and non-durable consumer goods (+1.1% vs -1.5% in May). In contrast, the reading for intermediate goods softened in June (+0.2% vs +0.4% in May).
In annual terms, industrial production flatlined in June, following a flat reading in the previous month.
