Brazil: Business confidence worsens in July
Latest reading: The seasonally adjusted industrial business confidence index published by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (Fundação Getúlio Vargas) fell to 97.2 in July, following June’s 100.1. The latest reading was below the threshold of 100 that separates optimistic from pessimistic sentiment.
In July, businesses grew less upbeat about expectations for the coming months (+94.6 vs +98.3 in June) and the current situation (+99.9 vs +102.1 in June).
