Bulgaria: Industrial production shrinks more quickly in May
Latest reading: Industrial production was down 6.0% on a year-on-year basis in May, following a 4.1% decline in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, the reading for manufacturing softened in May (-5.5% on a year-on-year basis vs -0.5% in April). In contrast, the reading for mining improved in May (-32.4% vs -33.8% in April).
In seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms, industrial production was down 0.2% in May, following a 4.6% decline in the previous month.
