Croatia: Inflation accelerates in March from February
Latest reading: Harmonized consumer prices rose 4.6% on a year-on-year basis in March, following a 3.9% rise in the prior month. March’s reading was the strongest since February 2025.
Relative to the prior month’s data, there were higher price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages (+3.4% in annual terms vs +3.0% in February), transportation (+5.7% vs +0.4% in February) and housing and utilities (+12.1% vs +10.6% in February). In contrast, price pressures reduced for restaurants and hotels in March (+6.5% vs +7.1% in February).
Meanwhile, consumer prices increased 4.8% in March, following a 3.8% increase in the prior month.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices rose 1.15% in March on a month-on-month basis, following a 0.30% increase in the previous month.
