Croatia: Inflation slows in July from June
Latest reading: Harmonized consumer prices increased 3.6% on a year-on-year basis in July, following a 4.2% increase in the prior month. July’s reading was the weakest since October 2024.
Relative to the prior month’s data, there were milder price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.1% in annual terms vs +0.7% in June), transportation (+7.0% vs +7.3% in June), housing and utilities (+12.9% vs +13.1% in June) and restaurants and hotels (+4.4% vs +4.9% in June).
Meanwhile, consumer prices rose 3.9% in July, following a 4.5% rise in the prior month.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.60% in July in month-on-month terms, following a 0.13% increase in the prior month.
