Cyprus: Economic sentiment drops in July
Latest reading: Economic sentiment fell to 101.6 in July, following June’s 102.3. The latest reading was above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
In July, sentiment worsened in the industrial sector (-6.2 vs -4.4 in June), the construction sector (+6.7 vs +7.7 in June) and among consumers (-19.9 vs -18.5 in June). However, sentiment improved in the services sector (+8.1 vs +5.0 in June) and the retail sector (-2.6 vs -4.6 in June).
