Czech Republic: Industrial production picks up in April
Latest reading: Industrial production rose 1.4% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in April, following a flat reading in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s data, readings in April improved for manufacturing (+1.1% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis vs 0.0% in March) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (+4.9% vs -0.6% in March). In contrast, the reading for mining and quarrying softened in April (-3.8% vs +1.4% in March).
On a working-day adjusted year-on-year basis, industrial production was up 1.6% in April, following a 0.9% increase in the previous month.
