Greece: Economic sentiment rises in May
Latest reading: Economic sentiment rose to 107.5 in May, following April’s 105.8. The latest reading was above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
In May, sentiment improved in the industrial sector (+7.9 vs +2.6 in April), the construction sector (+34.9 vs +32.6 in April), the retail sector (+10.9 vs +6.6 in April) and among consumers (-52.2 vs -54.7 in April). On the flipside, sentiment worsened in the services sector (+22.7 vs +26.6 in April).
