Greece: Industrial production contracts in February
Latest reading: Industrial production fell 0.9% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in February, following 0.8% growth in the previous month.
Relative to the prior month’s data, the reading for electricity supply worsened in February (-5.9% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms vs +14.0% in January). In contrast, readings picked up for manufacturing (+1.0% vs -3.9% in January), water supply (+1.3% vs -0.5% in January) and mining and quarrying (+10.6% vs -47.8% in January).
On a working-day adjusted year-on-year basis, industrial production increased 1.8% in February, following a 5.7% increase in the prior month.
