Greece: Industrial production recovers in March
Latest reading: Industrial production rose 1.1% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in March, following a 0.5% decline in the prior month.
Relative to the prior month’s data, the reading for electricity supply improved in March (+7.5% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms vs -6.0% in February). In contrast, readings softened for manufacturing (+0.7% vs +1.5% in February), water supply (0.0% vs +0.6% in February) and mining and quarrying (-2.2% vs +11.5% in February).
In working-day adjusted year-on-year terms, industrial production was up 8.3% in March, following a 2.3% increase in the prior month.
