Kuwait: Kuwait crude output falls further in April
Latest reading: Kuwait oil output slumped to just 0.6 mbpd (million barrels per day) in April, around half the March level and less than a quarter of pre-war production levels. This was due to the blockage of the Hormuz Strait forcing the state oil company to pause some production amid lack of domestic storage space.
Outlook: Oil production is unlikely to regain its pre-war level until the Strait is fully reopened, and even then production could take several weeks or months to fully ramp up.
