Lithuania: Industrial production gains momentum in March
Latest reading: Industrial production increased 4.8% on a year-on-year basis in March, following 1.8% growth in the previous month.
Relative to the previous month’s data, readings picked up for manufacturing (+5.6% vs +1.2% in February) and mining and quarrying (-4.3% vs -36.4% in February). In contrast, the reading for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning softened in March (-4.8% on a year-on-year basis vs +12.6% in February).
In seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms, industrial production rose 2.8% in March, following 0.5% growth in the prior month.
