Poland: Economic sentiment rises in May
Latest reading: Economic sentiment increased to 100.1 in May, following April’s 99.2. The latest reading was above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
In May, sentiment improved in the construction sector (-15.1 vs -15.7 in April), the services sector (-2.8 vs -4.4 in April) and among consumers (-13.8 vs -16.5 in April). In contrast, sentiment darkened in the industrial sector (-14.7 vs -13.8 in April) and the retail sector (-1.5 vs -0.7 in April).
